Days, 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, with call required.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for patient care in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide comprehensive patient care according to state regulations and hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of surgical supplies and equipment in the operating room.
• Maintain timeliness of surgical cases and effective communication with families.
• Update and manage physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during various surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma cases.
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations.
