Registered Nurse - Birthing Center/Mother Baby

12-hour night shifts; Every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

The registered nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Birthing Center and Mother Baby unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for labor and delivery. The role involves working in a collaborative team setting alongside OB hospitalists and neonatology support.

Responsibilities

• Circumventing C-section procedures and guiding patients through recovery.
• Providing education and support to mothers and families in the postpartum period.
• Collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and AWHONN standards.
• Participating in continuous education and training as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery and 1 year in Mother Baby nursing preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
• C-Section experience required; must be able to circulate and recover.
• Must hold a valid nursing license and meet hospital enrollment criteria.
