Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as orientees.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment data and patient/family collaboration.
• Facilitate communication regarding patient statuses during team conferences.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs while providing direct care.
• Initiate discharge planning on admission and conduct patient education accordingly.
• Ensure effective communication among care providers to maintain continuity of care.
• Provide leadership and training for ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain an optimal work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Oversee supply management and care delivery in a cost-effective manner.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
• ACLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum Two (2) Years of Bedside Clinical Experience required.
