Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Demonstrate leadership by delegating patient care priorities and supervising staff.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and training.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE certifications.
• Fetal Monitoring experience is required.
• Must possess a valid nursing license in the respective state.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a contract position with guaranteed hours.
