Cardiac Care RN - Day Shift

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Required to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The Cardiac Care RN will be responsible for providing nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics, specifically those requiring medical cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions. The unit has 36 private rooms and focuses on patients who are hemodynamically stable and do not require procedural cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Perform clinical tasks related to cardiac care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Administer post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac surgical interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, NIHSS preferred.
• Epic charting experience is essential.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management is required.
