Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients, either in outpatient or inpatient settings. The role includes planning and implementing an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician, as well as managing a full caseload independently. The Physical Therapist must be knowledgeable about when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization and must work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for assigned patients.
• Develop and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs.
• Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Independently manage a full caseload.
• Perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in outpatient and acute settings working with adults.
• Active Hawaii Physical Therapy License is required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
