Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiates assessments based on the patient's issues, the physician's diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on established standards and practices.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice and supports adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One (1) + year of experience in related specialty required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS - AHA certification required.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• NRP certification required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
