Part Time with variable day and/or night shifts scheduled as needed by the client. Includes 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. This role requires specialized skills in caring for medical conditions in adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients, promoting comfort and providing emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family needs and create individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team to set goals and monitor patient progress.
• Promote and protect the health, safety, and rights of patients.
• Teach and motivate patients/families on self-care and healing post-discharge.
• Conduct systematic evaluations of nursing practice quality and effectiveness.
• Foster meaningful relationships with patients and families to enhance care delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions following standard protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• One (1) year of experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse is required.
