Job Description

The Oncology Infusion registered nurse is an essential member of the cancer care team. Working in the infusion area, this role focuses on delivering professional oncology nursing care, ensuring compliance with cancer care policies, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess health history and address physician orders
• Perform in-office procedures and patient education
• Administer chemotherapy and manage cancer symptoms
• Monitor patient physical and emotional well-being
• Act as the primary communication link between patients and healthcare providers
• Provide direct nursing care and triage patient care needs
• Apply clinical knowledge and judgment to patient care issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Leader

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience
• EPIC experience required
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification required
