Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide routine and complex nursing care in a clinical setting. The nurse will practice independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and providing education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers regarding health issues and resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
