Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians, providing care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist/Cardiologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Provide patient care during procedures.
• Obtain high-quality images for medical interpretation.
• Adhere to safety protocols for exposure to bloodborne pathogens and ionizing radiation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One year of radiologic experience required.
• Preferred one year of interventional or Cath Lab experience.
• ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.
• ACLS Certification from AHA required within one year.
• Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI) or RCIS Certification.
