Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no call requirements and 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This unit features a total of 6 beds and typically operates with 2 to 3 nurses per shift, featuring one charge RN and one PICU RN during the night shift. Our unit prides itself on delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize various medical equipment including Alaris IV pumps and ventilators.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• Certification in PALS and BLS.
• Previous experience in PICU with skills in managing vents and drips.
