Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift, 3x12 Hour Schedule

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position requires weekend coverage, with shifts every third weekend.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals through collaboration with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Facilitate timely communication of patient information at team conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in accordance with policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, ensuring quality care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education upon admission.
• Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers.
• Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing staff and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Contribute positively to the unit's environment and participate in team-building activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift with a 3x12 hour schedule, including every third weekend.
