Job Description
The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to patient needs and physician directives. This role is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for the assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers, performing additional professional duties related to patient care and the development of therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge.
- Flexibly manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
- Document in medical records clearly, concisely, and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
- Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
- Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts, contributing to community and professional activities.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing, completing required continuing education.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
- Must hold a valid, current State license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, preferably in inpatient rehab or neuro settings.
Schedule
This position operates on a day shift with a schedule of 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
