MRI Technician (Contract Position)

Friday - Sunday, 8am - 8pm (12-hour day shifts)

Job Description

The MRI Tech provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. This role involves performing MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
• Assist Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Complete documentation in the designated area for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Retrieve and file exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of MRI exams.
• Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certified MRI Technician certification.
