ICU/CCU RN - Nights/Rotating Shift

Night shifts with rotating schedule, requiring flexibility to work any shifts as needed.

Job Description

The ICU/CCU RN will coordinate and provide care to meet the individualized age-appropriate needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ICU/CCU. The unit services surgical patients and those with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions requiring specialized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed ICU/CCU environment, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity.
• Assist in managing complex cases, including ventilated patients, with an additional nurse on-call as needed.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in hospital orientation and in-service training, followed by unit-specific orientation with the nurse manager.
• Float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER to assist based on competency level.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license and CPR certification.
• Experience in ICU/CCU settings preferred.
• Emergency room experience is recommended.
