Job Description

To provide full scope of cardiopulmonary services to all ages of patients in need of these services. To ensure that care provided is performed with respect for patients' rights and dignity. To assist in problem-solving in all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments and execute respiratory care plans.
• Perform airway management and assist with intubation when necessary.
• Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
• Procure and analyze arterial blood gas samples.
• Conduct pulmonary function testing (PFT) and chest physiotherapy.
• Document therapies administered accurately and efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience in respiratory treatment of hospital patients.
• Current credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) such as CRTT, CRT, RT, or RRT.
• Certification in BLS required; ACLS and PALS certification encouraged.
