CT Technologist - 5x8 Shift

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with holidays, on call, and callback as per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, confirming patient identity, and coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exams before initiating scans.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Position patients effectively, including lifting and moving those with limited mobility, ensuring safe patient handling.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring correct PACS system upload post-exam.
• Keep the scanning facility clean and safe.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current HCP registration in NYS with injection therapy certification at time of submission.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment is preferred.
