Registered Nurse - Days, M-F

Job Description

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care. This role requires serving as a resource person when situations require, applying age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in the care delivered. Additionally, you will support the mission of providing care to all patients from birth to elderly.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in patient care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others about care processes.
• Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of a nursing program from an NLN approved institution.
• Preferred one year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse.
• Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Cognitive and technical knowledge in nursing practice.
• Basic EKG and nursing skills.

Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts, Monday through Friday.
