Job Description

The Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems using physical or mechanical means. The aim is to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease, manage pain, and promote mobility and health. The therapist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the referring physician, the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients to restore function and mobility.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care.
• Administer physical therapy modalities as required.
• Collaborate with the patient's family and interdisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• No prior experience required.
