Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a high-risk, large hospital setting. The RN will utilize assessment skills, perform direct patient care, document patient progress, and promote professionalism while ensuring patient satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients across all stages of growth and development.
• Provide competent clinical care, demonstrating knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the patient’s chart.
• Demonstrate professionalism in all patient interactions and identify opportunities for growth.
• Respond courteously to patients, families, and colleagues to promote a cooperative environment.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on specific procedures and anesthesia types.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and assessments.
• Support the completion of patient testing in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-risk hospital setting.
• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
