Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. You will be responsible for managing cases involving respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. The ideal candidate must possess competency in caring for medical and surgical populations with proficiency in advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage, antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, and infection prevention protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage high acuity patients in a progressive critical care environment.
• Administer and monitor IV medications per titration protocols.
• Utilize advanced respiratory support technologies effectively.
• Implement complex patient care protocols and infection prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience preferred.
