Job Description

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. The role involves working in specialized units, including:

• 3 East: A 31-bed specialized unit for Alzheimer's/dementia residents, focusing on tailored care and understanding communication techniques associated with complex behaviors.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: A 42-bed unit for patients recovering from short-term conditions, requiring skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.
• 3 West: A 42-bed long-term care unit that ensures residents receive necessary care in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing needed care, adapting to the specific requirements of the units, and collaborating effectively with team members to ensure a high standard of resident care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Licensure: Valid State of Maine or compact RN license is required.
• Other Skills: Medical terminology knowledge preferred, strong teamwork and communication skills required, flexibility to float to other units as needed.
