Surgery Trauma Nurse Position

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3 nights a week).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Surgery Trauma Nurse to join our high acuity floor. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including spinal neuro trauma, surgical cases, gunshot wounds, quadriplegics, and paraplegics. Nurses must be willing to work flexible shifts as no block scheduling is allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a surgical trauma setting.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical trauma specialty.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Must have EPIC experience.
• Valid nursing license and Nursys license verification required.
