Sterile Processing Technician

Location

This position is located in South Carolina.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts are available, specifically 5x8 hours from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with a holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments. Candidates must possess experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and have proficiency in the sterilization processes required for neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and GYN cases.

Responsibilities

• Complete sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap sets and trays for surgical procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Float between facilities as necessary based on departmental needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• National Certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA required.
• Experience with Level 1 Trauma is required.
• Local candidates preferred, but non-local candidates will be considered.
