Schedule

Days shift: Monday-Thursday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; occasional shifts in Endoscopy from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Flexibility is required.

Job Description

Surgical Associates provides general surgery services focusing on abdominal organs, soft tissue masses, and traumatic injuries. The General Surgeon is always on call for urgent and emergent surgeries, including appendectomies and surgeries for bowel obstructions. Commonly performed surgical procedures include:

• Colonoscopy
• Upper GI Endoscopy
• Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
• Soft Tissue Mass Excision (Lipomas, cysts)
• Open and Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair
• Open and Laparoscopic Umbilical Hernia Repair
• Open and Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair
• Excisional Biopsies
• Hemorrhoid Procedures
• Oncologic Surgery for Breast or Colon Cancer
• Antireflux Surgery
• Skin Grafting

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current CST experience in a hospital setting
• Endoscopy experience
• Ortho trauma experience
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
