MS/Tele FLOAT RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekends, holidays, and call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MS/Tele FLOAT Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will be working in various units, including MS 4 Pav, MS 5 Pratt, PCU, and the acute inpatient rehab (ortho/neuro). This role requires expertise in patient care and the ability to adapt to different clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care, assessing clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Administer required drips and medications including Heparin, magnesium, and potassium riders.
• Recognize and implement safety protocols for patient handling.
• Lead and delegate tasks effectively, potentially assuming charge nurse duties.
• Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York state nursing license.
• Minimum of one successful traveler assignment completed.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with Meditech software is essential.
• PCU experience is highly preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
