Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a post-surgical setting, focusing on the care of patients who have undergone colorectal and urologic surgery. You will collaborate closely with the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses to address ostomy and wound care needs, as well as managing post-operative patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a post-surgical environment.
• Coordinate with the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for specialized patient needs.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document care in electronic medical records (Epic experience required).
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a 600+ bed academic hospital, with passing competency testing score.
• 2 years of experience may be considered without testing requirements.
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.
• Active nursing license in the state of practice.
