Job Description

The Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine assesses and treats the neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems through physical or mechanical means. The role is focused on maintaining or restoring function impaired by injury or disease for pain management and to promote mobility and health, as prescribed by the referring physician. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the plan of care for the patient while collaborating with them, their family, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and evaluations of patients.
• Develop and implement tailored physical therapy plans of care.
• Administer physical therapy modalities to enhance patient recovery.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• No prior experience required.
