Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a medical surgical unit. This position requires an individual who is capable of taking their own patient assignment while working under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients with acute health conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct pain assessments.
• Administer medications and perform IV therapy as required.
• Manage feeding tubes and provide wound care as needed.
• Conduct specimen labeling and collection.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the registered nurse or physician.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active New York Single State LPN license.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Two years of recent acute care experience is required.
• Epic charting experience is essential.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and EKG is preferred.
