Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac nursing and be able to provide excellent patient care for those recovering from cardiac interventions. The unit consists of 36 private rooms designed to accommodate both young adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, coronary artery stenting, and pacemaker implantation.
• Monitor patients post-intervention, ensuring stability and addressing any complications that may arise.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide necessary procedures related to cardiac care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and comfort.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiac care and necessary lifestyle modifications.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• BLS certification required; NIH certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Travel experience is required, first-timers not accepted.
• Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.
