Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour rotations (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Float required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mixed Unit Registered Nurse to join our acute care hospital team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Experience with total joints, rapid response teams, and a solid understanding of patient ratios is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed unit setting that includes Med Surg, Med Surg Tele, and PCU.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and other treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the rapid response team and manage critical situations effectively.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a mixed unit or high-acuity care setting.
• Active RN license in Florida or compact license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, and chest tubes is a must.
