Job Description

The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in the surgical setting. The RN is responsible for assessment, implementation, and evaluation of patient care aligned with established guidelines. The nurse will be proficient in surgical procedures, emergency protocols, and patient education, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive, and accurate.
• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills for direct patient care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patients' charts.
• Exemplify professionalism and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient satisfaction through courteous interactions.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and establish safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on their specific conditions and procedures.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient needs.
• Assess and educate patients pre-operatively and post-operatively.
• Support completion of patient testing in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• BLS certification required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
