Job Description

Critical care registered nurses are skilled in providing care for patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, trauma, and respiratory distress. They play a pivotal role in stabilizing patients in critical situations, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians with medical procedures
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Ensuring the functionality of medical equipment
• Administering IV fluids and medications
• Responding to life-saving situations according to nursing standards
• Advocating for patients and providing education to families

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Valid Alabama RN or multi-state RN license
• 2 years recent ICU RN experience
