Schedule

3 shifts of 12 hours, with a preference for 36 hours per week; options include 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts (7 am – 5:30 pm; 7 am – 7:30 am). Weekend, holiday, on-call, and callback duties may be required.

Job Description

The Cath lab serves as both an inpatient and outpatient procedural lab, specializing in mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients. With four Cath Labs and three Electrophysiology (EP) Labs, we provide care to adult and pediatric patients facing a diverse array of conditions. Our comprehensive program includes a pre- and post-procedural care holding area, with a highly collaborative practice model emphasizing excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As a Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Providing pre and post-procedural care for cardiac patients.
• Collaborating with CVT staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Administering moderate sedation and monitoring patients during procedures.
• Assisting in a variety of cardiac interventions, including TAVR and PCI.
• Utilizing mechanical circulatory support devices effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Experience with moderate sedation.
• Telemetry and dysrhythmia knowledge.
• New York RN license.
• Hands-on experience with TAVR, Microclip, Watchmen, and various cardiac interventions such as PCI, CTO, and pericardiocentesis.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD.
• Structural heart experience.
