Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry units provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. Nurses in these units should have a strong foundation in med/surg nursing, be skilled in telemetry monitoring, and be adept at managing a diverse patient population. These units offer an engaging environment for nurses who can balance the demands of complex care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs.
• Monitor and support stroke patients on a combined med/surg and stroke unit.
• Manage a diverse patient population experiencing GI, cardiac, and renal conditions.
• Assist patients with confusion and altered mental status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active nursing license required.
• Experience in med/surg nursing and telemetry monitoring preferred.
• Completion of required competencies and health history assessments for onboarding.
