Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team for the night shift. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a stepdown unit. The environment is fast-paced, and the nurse will be expected to manage various patient cases effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a patient population with a ratio of 1:4-5, managing high acuity cases when necessary.
• Administer and titrate IV medication drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist and intensivist teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Assist with essential procedures and perform patient assessments efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is mandatory.
• Active nursing license is required to practice in West Virginia.
• Experience in a critical care or stepdown environment is preferred.
