Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed. 8-hour days available if preferred. Call required (10-15 days of call per month), with every other weekend rotation.

Job Description

This position provides care for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Responsibilities include caring for Structural heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic/planned intervention Neuro, Vascular, and EP pacemaker/device patients, as well as administering pre-medication and educating patients post-procedure.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for cardiac catheterization and various intervention patients.
• Calculate cardiac output and perform hemodynamic monitoring.
• Set up procedures and operate life-saving equipment such as IABP and Impella.
• Transfer patients, stock supplies, and perform basic office tasks.
• Scrub in on cases and assist Radiologic Technologists with procedural tasks.
• Document all pertinent information on data sheets.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cath Lab RN experience is required.
• Experience with patient sedation is mandatory.
• Active Michigan nursing license (LARA and/or Nursys) is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is necessary.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification is necessary.
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
• Travel work experience is preferred.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years are required.
• Skills checklist pertinent to the specialty, current to one year, is mandatory.
