Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate should possess critical nursing skills and the ability to manage life-threatening situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care based on a thorough assessment of patients' clinical, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Recognize safety issues and implement measures to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize lifts and other devices safely for patient mobility and care.
• Function effectively in high-stress situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and strong leadership capabilities.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Experience with MEDITECH is required.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required; emergency department experience is preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation.
