LPN Part Time Nights

Schedule

This position requires flexibility to begin orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. Shifts are part-time nights, consisting of either 2x8s or 3x8s, and you will be expected to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The LPN will perform direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, following the scope of practice as outlined by certification. The individual will demonstrate necessary knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate for the adult and geriatric patient demographics.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain residents' safety and comfort according to policies and procedures, including prompt response to call lights, maintaining cleanliness of the unit, and fall prevention.
• Support residents' nutritional needs as outlined, including meal delivery and adherence to preferences.
• Facilitate residents' rehabilitative needs, such as range of motion exercises and proper body alignment.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and any changes in their physical or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York LPN Licensure
• BLS (AHA or RQI) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a long-term care or CNA capacity
• High School Diploma or GED
