Job Description

The Radiation Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. This role involves working closely with oncology patients and requires experience in radiation oncology.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and radiation treatments to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment and manage any adverse effects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in radiation oncology and outpatient clinic settings.
• Current SC or multi-state compact Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Chemo certification or similar is preferred.
• Experience with the Epic electronic health record system is highly preferred.
