Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg unit. The unit consists of 14-22 beds, and the staff count is dependent on patient acuity and census. This role involves providing patient care, supporting a collaborative team environment, and performing various medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient assessments and care planning.
• Perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomies, chest tube management, and seizure management.
• Utilize EMR systems (Meditech) for documentation.
• Collaborate with a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have BLS and PALS certifications.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in med/surg nursing with a patient ratio of 4:1.
• Ability to float to NICU level 1 or 2 as needed.
