Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for providing quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves operating imaging equipment, supporting physicians in the Cath Lab, and maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Manage equipment setup and ensure proper sterilization techniques are followed.
• Document patient care and procedure details accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as a Cath Lab Tech is required; 2 years preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred; RCIS certification is also preferred.
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Must be nicotine-free due to facility policy; negative drug screen required.
