Schedule

Schedule consists of 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday requirement.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will provide care to patients with chronic disease exacerbations, acute infections, and various levels of acuity. The nurse will work in the Medical Acute and Sub Acute unit that supports up to 25 patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform IV therapy, EKGs, and Telemetry interpretation.
• Administer respiratory treatments and care for COVID patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in telemetry.
• Current New York State Nursing License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required along with charge experience.
• Epic experience from within the last 2 years is mandatory.
