Contract Registered Nurse - ECMO/CVICU

Schedule

Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 6 weekend shifts required per schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for our ECMO/CVICU unit. The ideal candidate must have experience with cardiac monitoring, titratable drips, and respiratory patients. This role involves caring for patients recovering from open heart surgery and operating advanced life-support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hemodynamics and manage complex care for critical patients.
• Administer medications and titrate drips as needed.
• Utilize ECMO, Impella, and balloon pump technologies effectively.
• Perform various procedures including central line and chest tube insertion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Experience in CVICU or critical care nursing.
• Certification in ECMO required.
• Current RN license for the state of Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
