Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care for assigned patients in the Intensive Care Unit. RNs will be required to float to various ICU units, step-down units, Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), and the Emergency Department (ED) as needed. Additional responsibilities may include float assignments to Women’s and Family units with a focus on specialized patient populations, including preeclampsia, eclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhage.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide individualized care.
• Direct nursing support staff in adherence to nursing standards and administrative policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current nursing principles and practices.
• Uphold patient nurse ratio standards, ensuring no more than 1:3 ratios when assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical specialty (Preferred).
• Current PA Registered Nurse License (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
