Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. This includes cases of respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

Nurses will be expected to be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations, as well as demonstrate skills in ACLS and advanced hemodynamics, including pressor and antihypertensive drip usage, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, and infection prevention protocols.

Average patient load is typically three high acuity patients, with a preference for candidates who have large-scale adult PCU experience or community hospital ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients with complex medical conditions.
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic parameters.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• ACLS certification.
• Experience in a Progressive Critical Care Unit or similar environment.
• Ability to use advanced monitoring equipment and technologies.
