Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a fast-paced MS/Tele-ER border role. The position requires providing care in a high-volume setting, attending to a variety of patient diagnoses as part of a multidisciplinary team. The average daily census ranges from a minimum of 10 to up to 40 borders, with an emphasis on complex ED admission cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the MS/Tele-ER border area.
• Monitor patients and manage interventions based on assessment and clinical protocols.
• Float between emergency departments and medical/surgical/telemetry units as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN licensure in Maryland or compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and CPI certification required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
