Part Time (2x12s) - day or night shift (scheduled as needed by client) + every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skills in cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring. The RN is accountable for patient and family education to assist them in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and data analysis.
• Create individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans based on responses and changes in condition.
• Provide education to patients and families about care and healing at home.
• Promote health, safety, and rights of patients through advocacy.
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuous professional development.
• Comply with infection prevention strategies.
• Conduct rounds and maintain a healing environment for patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• One (1) Year Experience serving in a Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse
