SICU Registered Nurse - Nights

Schedule

Night shift: 12 hours, 6:42 PM - 7:12 AM with a guarantee of 36 hours.

Job Description

This position performs a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions, utilizing the nursing process while applying broad nursing knowledge in a caring manner.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient for physical, emotional, psych/social, and family support.
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to the patient's real and/or perceived needs.
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient's plan of care.
• Consult and collaborate with members of the healthcare team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of SICU experience - Required
• Open heart trained - Required
• BLS (AHA) - Required
• ACLS (AHA) - Required
• Active Michigan nursing license - Required
• Prior travel assignment history - Preferred
• Epic EMR experience - Preferred
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years - Required
